We always try to grab a private boat journey on every trip it’s always the best day of the holiday and at Nautical Sic Sic this is exactly the same. Professional, expert and friendly. The equipment is all first class. Private rental with or without a captain is so much better value than the organised mass produced trips. We had self drive on a small rib and it was a perfect day out. Allow about an hour and half to get over to Capri and then just past going through Farraglione there is a Marina Piccolo stop there and they will send a small boat out to moor you to a buoy and take you to the restaurant. Which in itself is superb for lunch and then 2 hours on the private beach next to it and you ready to return. Absolutely brilliant and all for less than £150 between 4. You will not do better than Nautical Sic Sic I bet their captained trips are also pretty awesome.

Having passed my RYA Powerboat course, I thought I would put into practice what I had learnt during the course. I was searching the internet and came across the Nautica Sic Sic website and made an enquiry. Salvatore Gargiulo, got back to me and within a few hours all questions were answerd and deposit paid. Really easy. We arrived at their easy-to-find office and we were taken through some navigational tips of the local area. We then headed out to our boat, which was already waiting for us for a quick tutorial on the controls. We had a good day cruising the Amalfi coast and around Capri, it was the start of the season so was relatively quiet. On our return, I was shown the rout we had taken and was able to get some printouts of the trip, which was an added bonus. It really was an unforgettable day and we both said we would do it again if return to Sorrento.

We spent 3 days in Sorrento (and a total of 16 days in Europe). The absolute BEST, most fantastic part of our vacation was the day on the boat with Nautica Sic Sic. Giulio was the most gracious, friendly captain, and he took us anywhere that we wanted to go. We rode around the island of Capri, visited various grottos, snorkeled and swam in the gorgeous sea, enjoyed a wonderful lunch & amazing views at Ristorante Conca Del Sogno, and we then rode down the Amalfi Coast. If we return to Sorrento (which we hope to do), the first thing we will do is make another reservation with Nautica Sic Sic! What an incredible experience! Obviously, my husband and I cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was thanks to Nautica Sic Sic.

Ferry/hydrofoil? Bit confusing but ok, seems a bit restrictive to return as they said because we didn’t book a tour we couldn’t get return later than 3:15pm? Hmmmm On Capri itself exit port turn right off the boat and 100yrds in right is bus ticket office, bus to Anacapri €2 takes 15 mins, once at Anacapri take chairlift to top €11 return, once at top great views (not much else) return bus from Anacapri to Capri town 5 mins, Capri town excellent for a browse round designer shops, bus down to Marine Piccolo, beautiful inlet bay, very picturesque, hired self hire boat from Capri Blue Boats and sailed round the island (2hrs having never driven a boat before, it was easy) best way to see the island and thoroughly recommended! Will definitely do again!

As the weather forecast was a little incorrect, we were late in getting hooked up with Nautica Sic Sic. They were able to accommodate us at very short notice. The boat and captain was very well matched. The captain was very knowledgable and my husband and I had one of the best days of our trip. We visited Positano and Capri and Carmine Ruocco took a us to all the sights and some extra ones as well. The weather did turn bad later in the day and Carmine expertly returned us to Sorrento safe and sound. We would definitely recommend Nautical Sic Sic. Ask for Carmine Ruocco. Excellent captain.
